Use Guide

• Intended Use: SoftShackle is intended for use with SoftSnubber for Vessel anchoring advantages. It is not intended to replace adequate anchor and chain hardware, nor should it eliminate the use of a "devil's claw" or other backup securing methods.
• Inspection: Inspect your SoftSnubber and SoftShackles before every use for signs of chafe, wearing, fraying, rot, stretching, UV damage. Do not use a damaged line, as failure could lead to loss of property or life.
• Inspect and Eliminate chafe points including but not limited to: bow pulpits, anchor rollers and mounts, deck fittings, bow sprits, bob stays, and anchor locker drains.
• Proper Use: SoftShackle is not intended for use towing, lifting heavy loads, or other non-Vessel anchoring activities.
• Avoid using SoftShackle in areas with sharp rocks, coral, shells, debris, or other obstructions that could comprise the material's strength.
• Load Limits: Use appropriate gauge of Amsteel Dyneema SoftShackle for your "Vessel parameters" (including length, displacement, beam, height, windage, and draft), and wind and tidal current conditions.
• Additional Equipment: Use appropriate anchor type and weight for prevailing bottom substrate and Vessel parameters and substantial length and gauge of anchor chain for Vessel parameters and adequate "scope".

User Instructions

• To open your SoftShackle
  • Pinch the inner strand labeled "A" in the above photo.
  • Gently slide the outer strand "B" away from the knot.
  • Remove knot from loop.
• To close your SoftShackle
  • Insert knot into loop.
  • Hold knot and begin 'milking' outer strand from point "C" to point "B". Move your holding hand down the strand as you move from "C" to "B".

Care Guide

• Hand wash SoftShackle in bucket with mild soap and warm fresh water only. No harsh detergents, no bleach, no vinegar, and no power washing.
• Hang dry and store dry and dark for best performance and life expectancy.
