- Inspection: Inspect your dock line before every use for signs of chafe, wearing, fraying, rot, stretching, UV damage. Do not use a damaged line, as failure could lead to loss of property or life.
- Inspect and Eliminate rope chafe points including but not limited to: bow pulpits, anchor rollers and mounts, deck fittings, bow sprits, bob stays, and anchor locker drains, scuppers, lights, stanchions, shore power cords, hoses and water filtration, dock parts, and piers.

- Avoid using our dock line in areas with sharp metal, wood, or concrete, rocks, coral, shells, debris, or other obstructions that could comprise the material's strength.
- Load Limits: Use appropriate gauge of 3-Strand Nylon dock line for your "Vessel parameters" (including length, displacement, beam, height, windage, and draft), dock or pier conditions and structural suitability, and wind and tidal current conditions.
